PREFACE
As requested by a great number of participants at the seminar on the U.S. Applicable Law organized by the Congregation of the Mother Co-Redemptrix at Marian Days in Carthage, Missouri, from 8th to 11th August, 2013 and at the Autumn Fair organized by Vietnamese Congregation in Atlanta, Georgia from August 30th, 2013 to September 1st, 2013, I republish this book: “A Book on U.S. Applicable Law”.
Two years ago, this book was published with the mission that was to serve the public’s knowledge. Realizing that this is the need for Vietnamese American community, once again, I am reprinting this book with the hope that I may contribute all of my understanding about applicable law to the oversea Vietnamese communities worldwide.
In this 2nd edition, there are some supplement documentary articles that were not in the first edition that was published in 2011. I also leave out several parts, either unrelated to the practical Law, or similar to the articles that had already been notified in this book.
I sincerely hope that, with such changes, this edition will provide to the readers all needed information about the Applicable Law in a more accumulated and consistent way.
I solemnly thank you all, readers, friends and relatives, who continuously support me in publishing this book worldwide. Last but not least, I would like to say “Thank You” to my wife who has always been at my side helping me to accomplish my duty as a Deacon in the U.S. Catholic Church as well as a Chaplain for U.S. Federal Judiciary System.
